The BC Renewal Party was founded by everyday people who are tired of waiting for the system to fix itself. We believe BC can be bold again — not by clinging to old ideologies, but by investing in real solutions that help people live, work, and thrive.
Our founder, Tristan Tolley, is a 25-year-old entrepreneur and caregiver who stepped up to raise his siblings after losing his father to cancer. He knows what it means to struggle — and to fight for something better.
We’re not politicians. We’re builders. Workers. Parents. Small business owners. And we’re creating a movement to renew British Columbia — for all of us.
Why We’re Running
We didn’t start the BC Renewal Party to win a title or sit in an office. We started it because we love this province — and we’re tired of watching it slip away from the people who built it.
For too long, politics in British Columbia has been about protecting the status quo, not protecting people. Housing costs have pushed families out of their own communities. Healthcare waitlists have left loved ones in pain and uncertainty. Wages haven’t kept up with the cost of living. And young people are being told to lower their expectations instead of being given the tools to succeed.
We’re running because we believe BC can be bold again — and because change will only come when everyday people step forward. Our founder, a 25-year-old entrepreneur and caregiver, knows what it means to face hardship and keep fighting. That’s the spirit we’re bringing to this movement.

Why I Stepped Up
I never planned to start a political party. I run a private swim lessons business. I raise my younger brothers. I lost my dad to cancer.
But I looked around and saw a province where young people can’t afford to live, work, or dream. And I realized: if we don’t step up, no one will.
The BC Renewal Party isn’t about power — it’s about possibility. This movement is for every person who’s been overlooked, overtaxed, or underestimated.
